A Nursery School in Action – Explore Rachel McMillan Nursery School

This 2 hour explore session is designed to inspire EY practitioners and give them an insight into the organisational and day to day working practices of Rachel McMillan Nursery School and Children’s Centre, an Ofsted Outstanding setting.
Rachel McMillan Nursery is a world renowned, Ofsted Outstanding Nursery School. Opened in 1914 they are thought to be the first ‘Open Air’ Nursery School in England.
This event aims to:
• Demonstrate the outstanding systems and structures underpinning practice in the school.
• Show what this looks likes in practice for; children, families and staff
• Discuss the notion of learning through play and the philosophy of the maintained nursery school.
The event is aimed at; practitioners, NQTs, those new to the EYFS, and those interested in getting a taste of Rachel McMillan Nursery School in action. Suitable for those who are working in the Early Years Foundation Stage in schools, nursery schools, private voluntary and independent settings, including childminders.
The session will help to give practitioners practical ideas on how to structure and support learning for children in the early years.

Payment: Payments are made on-line in advance of the event taking place. You may attend the event without having booked and paid for the place you may be turned away from the event.
It may be possible to make an online payment on arrival at the event to gain entry where places are available, but this facility cannot be guaranteed.
Timekeeping: Prompt time keeping is essential in ensuring a professional learning environment. Late-comers may be refused admission to the course/training event where entry may be detrimental to the learning of others.
Cancellation: If you are no longer able to attend the course, please notify us by email STEEPcontact@gmail.com, giving us at least 7 days notice. If you fail to do this your full course fee will be retained.
In the event the organiser has to cancel or reschedule the event, your booking will be transferred to the next available date or a full refund provided.
Refund policy: Refunds will only be given if the attendee provides the required notice of non-attendance (7 days). After this time no refunds will be given.
