What is the course about?

During this two hour walk and talk session, we will;

  • considers the importance of providing inspiring opportunities to develop talk for writing and consider how this might look in practice,
  • look at how children develop the physical skills to be able to write, and explore how research and theory can and should influence practice,
  • explore a range of strategies and practical inexpensive developmentally appropriate experiences to support children’s writing development and independence in the EYFS, ensuring that they have the best possible foundations for future learning.

Who is this event for?

This event is ideal for reflective practitioners seeking inspiration and eager to develop their practice in providing developmentally appropriate, exciting and inexpensive experiences to build children’s confidence and passion for writing inside and out.

The session will be built around the questions, reflections and areas of interest of the participants and is suitable for practitioners at any stage of their career and from any setting.
